About this Event
For a fifth year the Wordplay Awards are back to celebrate the art of modern poetry and spoken word. This year we have gone back to our roots where it all started.
We hosted our first ever poetry open mic night at the Hearth in 2022 and have created one of the most beautiful communities ever since. From the stage to the page we champion works from all walks of life and this year is no different.
Founded by author and poet Tannika Taylor, and hosted by Signed Prestige, we have a wonderful evening filled with talent, food, drinks, and socialising. Enjoy exceptional performances, a Caribbean inspired buffet, and a room filled with creative professionals beyond the scope of poetry.
Our nominees are nothing short of phenomenal and we look forward to celebrating them all. Expect great poetry, great vibes, and most of all a great space where you belong!
