Join Steam Incorporated and WWI Memorial Steam Locomotive Ab 608 ‘Passchendaele’ for a special heritage train journey from Palmerston North to Woodville and return, travelling through the magnificent Manawatū Gorge – Te Āpiti.

With the former road through the Gorge now closed, the railway offers a unique perspective of this dramatic landscape. Sit back and enjoy the journey alongside the Manawatū River, surrounded by the Ruahine and Tararua Ranges.
🚂 Destination: Woodville
We’ll continue through to Woodville, where there’ll be a short stop while our heritage train is prepared for the return journey — giving you another chance to enjoy the spectacular trip through the Gorge.
