Get up close with the fascinating world of insects and discover some of the tiny creatures living in our woods with Connor!
About this Event

As part of the project, you’re invited to our annual Woodland Festival - a day to leaf your worries behind and celebrate these much-loved woods, their wildlife, and the local community that helps them thrive. There’ll be tree-mendous live music, walks, crafty activities, buzzing stalls and plenty of art to branch out into. Whether you’re here to soak up the forest vibes, discover hidden wildlife, or just enjoy a day out under the canopy, there’s something for everyone.

Connor will be joining us throughout the Woodland Festival, giving you the chance to drop by, ask questions and learn more about the incredible diversity of insects and other invertebrates found at Sydenham Hill Wood + Dulwich Wood.

Find out what makes an insect an insect, discover the important roles these often-overlooked creatures play in woodland ecosystems, and learn some simple tips for spotting and identifying the species living around us. Whether you're already fascinated by insects or don't know your beetles from your bugs, Connor will be on hand to share his knowledge and help you take a closer look at the miniature world beneath our feet and among the trees.
