CHRISTMAS OPEN DAY!HERE IT IS!!
We are delighted to announce that our Christmas Open Day at Woodfield Equine Sanctuary is officially happening!
After the wonderful turnout and support we received at our last Open Day, we cannot wait to welcome you all back to Woodfield for another special day.
SUNDAY 29TH NOVEMBER 2026
11:00am – 3:30pm
CASH ONLY PLEASE!
PLEASE NOTE OUR OPENING TIME!
For those who have visited us before, please note that our gates will open at 11:00am, slightly later than our usual opening time of 10:30am.
As we head into winter, we will have quite a number of our rescued horses and ponies coming into the main yard for their winter care and accommodation, many of whom you will also have the opportunity to meet on the day!
With so many horses and ponies to feed, groom and prepare, we need the morning to get everyone settled and ready before welcoming visitors.
PLEASE NOTE: NO VISITORS ARE TO ARRIVE BEFORE 11:00am.
We kindly ask everyone to respect this opening time, allowing us to complete our morning duties and have everything safely prepared for your arrival.
AND THAT’S NOT ALL!
We have some BIG surprises to reveal, and we absolutely cannot wait for you all to come along and check everything out! We’ve been busy behind the scenes, and there are some exciting things we are looking forward to sharing with you.
More information coming soon, so keep an eye on our page!
Come along, meet some of our rescued horses and ponies, see the sanctuary for yourselves and enjoy a little Christmas spirit here at Woodfield!
We will have plenty going on throughout the day, including:
* Christmas stalls
* Homemade cakes
* Hot and cold drinks
* Crafts by Dawn
* Tombola stall
* Raffle
FREE ADMISSION – DONATIONS APPRECIATED
Dogs are also welcome, provided they are kept on leads.
WHERE TO FIND US:
Woodfield Equine Sanctuary
Woodfield House
Welshmoor, Llanrhidian

What3words: ///roosters.about.riots
We strongly recommend using What3words when travelling to the sanctuary, as this is the most accurate way to find us. Unlike a postcode, What3words identifies a precise 3-metre square, helping you navigate directly to our location.
Our Open Days are a wonderful opportunity for our supporters to see where their donations go, meet some of the animals they have helped rescue, get a real insight into the work we do here every day and, of course, help us raise much-needed funds to support our ongoing rescue and welfare work.
Every penny raised helps us continue providing care for the horses and ponies who rely on us, particularly as we head into the busiest and most expensive months of the year.
We hope to see plenty of familiar faces, along with lots of new ones!
PLEASE SHARE THIS POST FAR AND WIDE!
We look forward to welcoming you all to Woodfield for our Christmas Open Day!
