About this Event
We'll begin with the splendor and science behind recent images from cutting-edge telescopes, including the Vera C. Rubin Observatory and the space-based James Webb Space Telescope. From the birthplaces of stars to colliding galaxies, these images are as scientifically rich as they are stunning. We'll then turn to our own autumn sky with a live tour led by our Planetarium Educator, who will share the basics of finding your way around the fall sky and the stories behind the season's constellations.
Program length is one hour.
Children under 5 are not permitted.
Please arrive at least 5 minutes before show time, because late arrivals may not be seated for safety reasons in our darkened planetarium.
If you are not already familiar with the location of the planetarium, please be sure to understand our location using the map here on Eventbrite or here: Planetarium location in Google Maps For our public programs, you will be able to park in the I-37 parking lot off of Iroquois Drive directly next to Buffalo State University's Science and Math Complex which houses the planetarium.
