Restored & Waiting for Hope: A Study Through Joel and Malachi📖 Tuesdays, October 13–November 17 | 6:30–8:00 PM
📍 GVBC Fellowship Hall
What do you do when the world feels broken and unjust? How do you hold on to hope when you’re waiting for God to work?
Join us for six weeks in God’s Word as we study two books of the Old Testament that point us to the hope, faithfulness, and restoration found in Jesus.
October 13–27 | Restored: A Study on the Book of Joel
We all long to see restoration in our lives and in the world around us. But how is God at work when all we see is brokenness?
Through this three-week study of Joel, we’ll explore the truths that point us to the restoration only Christ can provide.
Together, we’ll:
Unpack biblical truths about the Day of the Lord and the promise of the Spirit.
Remember God’s faithfulness to His promises.
Better understand the Minor Prophets and how they fit into the story of Scripture.
Discover how God can redeem our shame and mourning and draw us closer to Him.
Walk verse by verse through Joel, learning to seek God and turn to Him for restoration.
November 3–17 | Waiting for Hope: A Study on the Book of Malachi
What do you do when you’re stuck in the in-between? How do you remain faithful while waiting for God’s help and provision?
Malachi is the final book of the Old Testament, written as God’s people waited for the promised Messiah. In this three-week study, we’ll discover what it means to wait with hope and keep our eyes on Jesus.
Together, we’ll:
Learn to remain steadfast when the wait feels long.
Remember how perfectly God loves us, even when we love Him imperfectly.
Discover how to rest in the hope of Jesus, no matter what’s happening around us.
Learn what it means to love the Lord wholeheartedly in every season of life.
What to expect
Both studies include daily study material and questions to help you dig deeper into Scripture. You’ll also find helpful charts, maps, and other study resources, along with opportunities for weekly reflection and Scripture memory.
Whether you’re familiar with the Minor Prophets or just beginning to study them, you’re welcome!
Join us Tuesdays from 6:30–8:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall, beginning October 13. We’ll spend six weeks studying Joel and Malachi together and discovering the hope and restoration we have in Christ.
