Overview 🌊💃🌅
Come dance at the water's edge as the afternoon light turns golden and the sun makes its way toward the horizon!
We'll begin with 30–40 minutes of playful guided movement and group activities to warm up our bodies, share some laughter, and cultivate connection.
Then we'll put on our Silent Disco headphones and dance together to a collective playlist created from music we each love.
The music will begin gently, build in energy, and gradually soften again as we dance toward sunset. We'll close with a short circle to settle, connect, and appreciate our time together.
What will the music be?
We'll create the playlist together! 🎶
Everyone is invited to contribute 2–4 songs they love to dance to. This is an opportunity to share music that moves you and discover some new favorites from one another.
Your selections can be of different intensities — anything from ambient and downtempo to joyful, high-energy dance music.
Everyone who submits music by the deadline will have at least one song included in the playlist. Additional songs will be included as time and the flow of the music allow.
I'll arrange our selections into a musical journey that begins slowly, builds toward a lively peak, and gently winds down as the sun sets.

Please email links to your selections to [email protected] by the end of Thursday. I'll create the playlist on Friday.
Where will we meet?
We'll gather at the water's edge on beautiful Seascape Beach in Aptos, a little south of the main beach area.
Free public parking is available at the beach trailhead near Seascape Resort:
1 Seascape Resort Drive, Aptos, CA 95003
All registered participants will receive an email with detailed directions, photos of where to park and meet, and direct Google Maps and Apple Maps links to the parking area.
Seascape Beach is spacious and beautiful, with plenty of room for us to dance together beside the ocean.
What is the walk to the beach like?
The walk from the parking area to our gathering spot takes approximately 15–20 minutes at a leisurely pace.
The trail begins as a dirt path and transitions to a paved path leading down toward the beach. The final portion of the walk is on sand.
Please allow enough time to arrive comfortably before we begin.
Timeline — Saturday, October 24
4:00 pm — Arrive and park
Please begin walking down to our beach gathering spot by 4:10 pm at the latest, so you can arrive before we begin.
4:30 pm — Welcome and warm-up
Playful guided movement and group activities to help us arrive in our bodies and connect with one another.
5:10 pm (approximately) — Let the dancing begin!
We'll dance together with our Silent Disco headphones as the afternoon light shifts toward golden hour.
6:18 pm — Sunset and end of dance
6:20–6:30 pm — Closing circle
A few moments to settle, connect, and close our time together.
6:50–7:00 pm — Return to parking area
What to bring
- Water bottle
- Clothing layers for the changing temperatures
- Towel or lightweight beach chair for sitting
- A snack if you'd like one
Registration and important dates
Advance registration is required.
Ticket sales close at 12 noon on Saturday, October 24, to allow time for everyone to receive the detailed arrival instructions.
To contribute music to the collective playlist, please register and email your songs by Thursday, October 22.
