In this workshop you'll handcraft your own, unique wall hanger depicting the phases of the moon. Working in both glass and ceramic the date of this session aligns closely with the Full Moon on the 24th (Beaver Moon). We'll starting the session with the moon phases, you will decorate x5 glass moons and learn about the properties of glass. The colours, patterns that you choose are up to you, some glass cutting may be required.
In the second half of the session we will be working with clay slabs to create the frame from which your glass moons will hang. You will decorate the hanger with carvings and underglazes.
Your pieces will be fired after the workshop and hand assembled, this can tyake between 4-6weeks to allow the clay to dry for firing. You will be emailed when your piece is available to collect or can arrange P&P which will be invoiced separately.
All safety equipment and materials, including aprons, are provided for the workshop. Locally sourced beverages & sacks are served.
