About this Event
In this 2 day training, we will provide you with a deeper understanding of the connections between hormones, nutrition, lifestyle and psychological factors impacting women's health. Health practitioners and students will develop the tools and confidence to support women throughout different life stages.
Our training is evidence informed, developed and reviewed by health practitioners. This training includes real life case studies and practical examples where you will walk away with a better understanding of when collaboration or referral to another health practitioner may be beneficial.
This training is designed to be multidisciplinary for anyone working in the field of women's health or students seeking a career in women's health. This could include but not limited to: social workers, dieticians, mental health practitioners, midwives, nurses, and other allied health professionals who want to strengthen their assessment, communication, referral and interdisciplinary care skills.
Learning Outcomes:
- Recognize how hormonal, nutritional, psychological and lifestyle factors can intersect in women’s health.
- Ask more informed questions and better understand the broader context behind a client’s concerns.
- Identify when another health discipline may provide valuable support.
- Communicate more confidently with clients about women’s health concerns.
- Apply an interdisciplinary perspective to real-world client scenarios.
