Women’s Circle - What We Carry

Join us online for a relaxed and empowering women's circle where we’ll explore what we carry—our stories, strength, and struggles. It’s a space to share, connect, and uplift each other. Whether you want to listen or speak, you’re welcome here. Let’s gather, reflect, and support in a warm, informal setting. Grab your favorite drink and come as you are!

What you’ll find here

Women who listen properly, and don't try to fix you. Somewhere to be understood without explaining yourself from the beginning. The particular relief of saying a true thing out loud and having it met — being seen, heard and taken seriously.

Something changes when a thing is said in company. It stops being a secret. Shame needs privacy to survive, and it rarely survives being spoken into a room where nobody flinches.

We come together once a month to do something we get very little practice at: telling the truth out loud, and being properly listened to while we do it. There is real power in shared experience — when one woman speaks honestly, she gives the rest of us permission. What surfaces in a circle is rarely what any of us could have reached alone.

Much of what we bring is grief, though we don't always call it that. Not only the losses with names — a death, a diagnosis, a marriage, a parent slowly leaving before they've gone — but the quieter ones nobody gave us permission to mourn. A version of ourselves we set down. A future that didn't arrive. Something we needed and never got. Grief that isn't spoken doesn't go anywhere; it just goes underground. This circle is somewhere to bring it into the room.

This circle tends to draw brave women — the ones exploring the outer edge of what has been possible in their family. Women asking questions that were never asked in front of them, with no history to guide them and no one who has walked it first. That is lonely work. It asks for the particular courage that lets you be seen not yet knowing. That is exactly what a circle is for

What we carry as women

Info: I’m Shaima, founder of Inner Rising. I’m a body-mind maturation coach trained in somatic work, meditation and mindfulness, and a Family Constellations practitioner trained in the Hellinger tradition in Germany. My practice is trauma-informed, with further training through The Embody Lab.
Before this, I spent years in Fortune 500 corporate life. I know what it costs to be competent for a living — to be the one who holds it together, who is fine, who doesn’t have time to feel it now. Much of what I do now is the undoing of that, and a good number of the women I work with are still in it.
What that means in a room: I pay as much attention to what the body is doing as to what is being said. Grief, loyalty and the things we inherit rarely arrive as tidy sentences — they show up as tightness, as going quiet, as a shift in someone’s breathing. I work slowly and I don’t push. Nobody is asked to tell more than they want to, and nothing has to be resolved by the end of the evening.
