Join the Division of Aging and Independence for brunch and a private screening of the film, "Women, Wine, & Dementia." Seeking healing and comfort in community, a dementia family caregiver road trips the U.S. to swap stories of love, humor, and devotion with other family caregivers who share this hilariously heartbreaking end-of-life journey. In a system that offers few resources or support, they find community, champion each other, and learn what it means to celebrate LIFE on the long road to death.This private film screening will be held at the Frederick 50+ Community Center at 1440 Taney Avenue in Frederick. Doors open at 9:00 AM, brunch is served at 9:30 AM, and the film begins at 10:30 AM.
Brunch includes made-to-order omelettes with cheese and veggies, buttered croissants, fresh fruit, vegetable juice, milk, tea, and coffee. Catering is provided by The Omelette Guys.
