This International Women’s Day, BPW Moreton Bay is doing something a little different and we want you to be part of it.We’re bringing women’s stories to life through a special display of near life-size silhouettes, each representing a woman who has contributed to our community in her own unique way.
Because when we think about women who make a difference, we often think of the women standing at the front.
But what about the women behind the scenes?
The woman who volunteers every Saturday.
The woman who sits on the committee.
The woman who organises the fundraiser.
The woman who makes the morning tea.
The woman who stacks the chairs when everyone else has gone home.
The woman who quietly checks in on someone who needs support.
And the women who lead, advocate, create businesses, inspire others and open doors for those who come after them.
They all matter. And their stories matter.
Women Who Shape Our Community will celebrate the diverse women who have helped make our community what it is today.
Why International Women’s Day?
Because IWD isn't just about celebrating women — it's about recognising their achievements, making their contributions visible and continuing the conversation about equality and opportunity.
