Portland Plays Together hosts a free 3 day intro to coaching workshop for girls and women in Portland. This project is funded by Gainbridge / Parity to promote girls and women's leadership and access in sport.
One participant will be be selected for a paid coaching internship with a local club. This internship will involve 2-4 hours per week paid by this program. Placement will be with a local community football club to gain real life coaching experience.

The course will go over the basics of coaching, how to build training plans, manage youth and most importantly build values based leadership lessons into sport.
This course will be taught by a mix of instructors who have played and coached professionally around the world.
Everything is provided inlcuding snacks, meals (snacks Friday, lunch Saturday and Sunday and light snacks). Notebooks, sporting equipement and a coaches intro pack will be free for all participants. LIMITED SPACE so sign up soon.
Schedule and layout:
Friday: 6-9pm
Saturday: 10am-2pm
Sunday: 10am-2pm
The course will be divided into classroom trainings and court time. Come prepared to do practical group sessions on the court to demonstrate learnings from the class sessions. All equipment is provided including:
