About this Event

Save the Date!
Women in Tech Hampshire returns on Wednesday 15th April 2026 and will focus on a topic that sits at the heart of meaningful progress in our industry, mentorship and allyship.

As the tech sector continues to evolve, the power of strong mentors, active allies, and committed advocates for women in tech cannot be underestimated. This evening will bring together experienced leaders to explore how meaningful allyship, guidance, and visible support can build confidence, expand opportunities, and create more inclusive pathways not only into leadership, but across the tech industry as a whole.

We are honoured to announce we're being joined by Callum Linington, Principal Engineer, Huw Fielding, Director of IT at Southampton Football Club, Sharon Jones, Regional Lead at Maritime Enterprise Engagement, and Vicky Brentnall, Director of Transformation at Procode. They'll discuss what effective mentorship really looks like, how to move from passive support to active allyship, and the practical steps we can all take to lift others as we progress in our careers.

About our Panellists

Callum Linington

Callum leads engineering teams in an enthusiastic, ambitious, and creative way. His energy and passion for what he does naturally rub off on those around him.

He is also a strong advocate for disability and neurodiversity in the workplace, firmly believing that different minds build better things - full stop.

A self-confessed code enthusiast, Callum has a particular passion for TDD, F#, and functional programming. Give him expressive, clean code and he's a happy guy.
Huw Fielding

Huw is Director of IT at Southampton Football Club, where he leads the club’s technology strategy and oversees the systems, data and digital infrastructure that support everything from player performance analysis to fan engagement and stadium operations. With extensive experience delivering large scale IT and data initiatives, he focuses on helping organisations use technology to improve decision making, operational efficiency and customer experience.

He brings a unique perspective on how technology, data and leadership intersect across both technical and non technical teams.

Sharon Jones

Sharon joined the Royal Navy’s Maritime Enterprise Engagement team in 2023; tasked with extending activity from the Solent to national engagement. She now sits within the London and Eastern England Regional Headquarters where she builds the innovation ecosystem through engagement with industry, academia and Government and coheres activity.

Named as one of the Telegraph’s Top 50 Women in Engineering (Returners and Transferrers) in 2018, Sharon is passionate about the opportunities of emerging technologies and the importance of leveraging these to solve problems. She is a volunteer co-ordinator for the Women’s Engineering Society South Coast Cluster and director and co-founder of Women in Tech Dorset.
Vicky Brentnall

Vicky is a Director of Transformation with over 18 years’ experience across Financial Services, Travel, and the Energy sector. She specialises in delivering transformative change, designing effective operating models, and creating psychologically safe, high‑performing cultures. She is passionate about harnessing people’s strengths to drive innovation and unlock the potential of evolving technology. Vicky also serves as a Non‑Executive Director at BrandPipe, supporting their mission to deliver inclusive, human‑centred tech solutions.
