ACRES West Connacht is delighted to bring you this free event celebrating the important role women play on farms, in business, families and rural communities.
This conference will bring women together to celebrate their contribution, share experiences and explore the strength that comes from working together.
Our four key speakers will be:
- Maria Walsh MEP - Member of the European Parliament for Midlands North-West. Fine Gael. EPP Group.
- Dr Belinda Vigors - Social Scientist & Writer. Founder, The Women of Ireland Project.
- Blátnaid Gallager - Co-Founder - Galway Wool Co-op. UN FAO 100 Women Heroes 2026.
- Tara Rafter - Executive Coach & Master NLP Practitioner, The Navigation Coach.
We will announce an exciting line up of panellists shortly!
Through conversation, connection and shared experiences, we’ll explore:
- Recognising the value of women - celebrating the visible and invisible work women contribute on farms, in business, in families and across rural communities.
- The power of collaboration - how sharing knowledge, building networks and supporting one another can create stronger farms and communities. Women have always understood the value of having a support village around them.
- You are not alone - recognising that asking for help is a strength, not a weakness, and highlighting the groups, organisations and networks available to provide support.
Whether you’re involved in farming, rural business, community life, or simply want to connect with other women, this event is an opportunity to meet, share, learn and build your own support network.
