Dear friends,For International Women's Day, we want to offer a different kind of event for the women of our community than in previous years.
It's clear we're living in strange times.
A type of leadership and narratives are beginning to emerge globally, seeking to exert hegemony based on war, the violation of civil rights, and divisive and supremacist ideas that we thought were in the past.
How does this emerging world affect women, and what is our role in all of this?
This will be a session to educate ourselves on this topic in an inclusive and caring way. We will hear from experienced activists about fascism and anti-fascism, how this involves our rights, and how we can contribute. We will talk and reflect together, as equals, while creating visual art pieces on the topic, which will be used in future events.
We will have refreshments and snacks to share ☕️🫖🥤
And to close, there will be an opportunity to sing with hand drums, for those who wish.
This is a FREE event for ALL WOMEN (cis or trans) aged 10 and up.
Educating ourselves is empowering ourselves.
We look forward to seeing you!🌸🌸🌸🌸
