Breaking the Pattern: Women, Beliefs, and the Biology of Equity

This is an International Women's Day Event. This year's theme is Give to Gain.

It is open to all women and their allies, who seek to bring about gender equality in the world.

Our aim is to give you the knowledge of how we inadvertently perpetuate inequity through our beliefs, so that you can create greater equity in your own life and continue the conversation about gender equity in your families, communities and workplaces.

Inspired by the work of authors, such as Caroline Criado Perez, Dr. Mindy Pelz, and Emily and Amelia Nagoski, we will be seeking to change the thoughts and words that maintain the inequities between the genders, so that we can bring about greater equity for all.

  • You'll be given self knowledge and tools to overcome limiting beliefs related to gender inequity.

  • Take part in interactive workshops to gain skills to maintain and manage your mental patterns.

  • Learn from the Mind Mastery Team mind mastery techniques, and three guest speakers, experts in their fields of nitration, breathwork and health routines.

  • Take away a personalised plan to focus on your own journey.

Guest Speakers are:

  • Liz Fleming, founder of The Be Well Space, a qualified dietitian with over 20 years experience, will talk about back to basics nutrition + simple steps + enjoyment = eating well with ease for good. Perfect for people who want to eat better without overwhelm.

  • Gemma, founder of Modern Meditation, a meditation and breathwork practitioner for 21 years, will be sharing practices that clear the internal landscape so life can be met with intention, balance and grace.

  • Ildikó Sealey, founder of Routine Is Revenue and The Routine Queen, will be sharing principles from her very own T.E.M.P.L.E. method to help you create healthy habits for a more intentional life.

  • Arezoo Farahzad, television Director / Producer, Chair of Trustees for Plymouth Centre for Faiths and Cultural Diversity, Deputy Lieutenant for Devon and Founder of International Dinners, will be our plenary speaker, bringing the day's experiences together for you to take away into your life, family, communities and workplace.

The event will be held in the beautiful and historic, enchanted house on the hill, that is Boringdon Hall Hotel, Plympton, Plymouth, PL7 4DP.

All participants will receive a warm welcome, tea and coffee on arrival, a delicious buffet lunch, and a free International Women's Day 2026 goodie bag to take away with them.

There will be a raffle to support the work of The King's Trust: Women Supporting Women - to nurture, empower, and inspire young women to build a better future for themselves. All proceeds of the raffle will go directly to The King's Trust.

We regret that the Elizabethan Suite at Boringdon Hall is not accessible at this time.

There is ample free parking at the hotel, with wonderful views across the city and Plymouth Sound.

If you would like to make a weekend of it, you could be eligible for 15% off your stay when you buy a ticket to our event. For more details contact; 01752 344 455 | [email protected].
