About this Event
Our first Manchester event at Chetham’s Library went down an absolute treat.
What started as 15 socially awkward queer women standing outside a library ended as 15 not-at-all awkward queer women getting along famously over lunch.
So, for our next gathering, we're doing something a little different.
Rather than centring the evening around a library tour, gallery visit or another activity, we're making a little more room for what made our first event so lovely: meeting other queer women and having a proper conversation.
Join us at Tariff & Dale in Manchester's Northern Quarter for a relaxed, low-pressure evening mixer.
Just a room full of sapphic people, a drink in hand and the opportunity to get to know one another.
We'll be there to welcome everyone, make introductions and help get conversations going. Whether you're coming alone, with a friend or with your partner, you're very welcome.

Who is Violet Hours for?
Violet Hours creates cultural and social gatherings for sapphic women and anyone who feels at home in sapphic spaces, whether you've known exactly how you identify for years or you're still figuring that bit out.
Our events tend to attract women looking for a more grown-up queer social life, but there's no upper age limit and you certainly don't need to know anyone beforehand.
Coming alone? Please do. Lots of our attendees come solo, and making sure everyone feels comfortable and included is a big part of how we host our events.

Places are limited so we can keep the evening intimate and make sure everyone has the opportunity to connect.
If you've booked a ticket and can no longer attend, please let us know as soon as possible so we can offer your place to someone else.
