About this Event
Led by Daniel J Owens (piano), founder of the Center for Musical Arts in Sacramento, Wizard Robot features Nate Furgason (bass), Scott Gordon (drums), and Jackson Riley (sax). Inspired by both contemporary and classic tunes, the quartet aims to blur the lines between some of the most recognizable pop songs and legendary jazz standards. The results have engaged both new listeners and jazz fans alike.
The group has performed for audiences in venues such as The California Jazz Conservatory, Yoshi’s Oakland, Somethin, The Bitter End and Pianos in New York City, and various jazz festivals including the Monterey Jazz Fest.
With a residency at the Center announced, you'll be able to enjoy Wizard Robot every month!
