Join Wildflower Cottage to make one of your very own hand broom, the small, sturdy kind for sweeping the altar, the hearth, the porch step, or the cobwebs off a corner of your life. You'll learn traditional whisk broom construction, the same techniques makers have used for generations. You'll bind, wrap, and shape a broom from natural materials until it feels like it has always belonged to you. Every broom comes out a little different, and that's the charm. Bring your own intentions. Some people sweep away the old year. Some make a broom to guard the door. Some just want something beautiful and useful for their kitchen wall. All of it is welcome here. *This class is open to ages 12 and up.
*Both hand and foot dexterity are required.
*Instructor to provide safety glasses and all tools and materials required *No prior broom making experience necessary.
*Participants can choose their own string colors and accents
