Step into the apothecary and unlock your inner kitchen witch! In this enchanting, hands-on workshop, herbalist Emily Watson will guide you through the crafting of four beautiful, mystical-inspired herbal potions — each with its own magical spells, purpose, and flavor.
You’ll learn the lore behind each potion, the magical properties of their plant allies, and the time-honored methods used by witches, healers, and potion makers. As we work, the air will fill with fragrant steam, clinking glass, and the hum of spells (or maybe just laughter) as your potions take shape.
Over the course of the workshop, you will:
-Discover the lore and properties of each herb in your potions
-Learn traditional techniques for infusing, decocting, and blending
-Prepare three unique potions from scratch in your own cauldron (or small saucepan)
-Receive full recipes and instructions to take home
Your magical creations for the day include:
Crimson Courageous Heart Cordial– A rich draught to warm the spirit, strengthen the heart, and restore courage.
Golden Vitality Tonic – A golden elixir to revive energy, awaken the senses, and bring back the light in weary eyes.
Green Mental Magic Elixir – A shimmering emerald tonic to sharpen focus, restore magical reserves, and renew vitality.
Blue Fairy Tranquility Tonic – A tranquil azure infusion to soothe the mind, refresh the soul, and summon peace.
Emily Watson, Director & Founder of the Artemisia Academy, is a certified "herb nerd" who loves connecting people with their own personal plant allies and their healer within. Born and raised in Santa Barbara, California. Emily has a passion for the California mountains and the stories of the plants and people that came before us. Her hope is to pass on the knowledge of sustainable living with practical entrepreneurial skills, so that herbalists can create thriving practices that fully support themselves, their land, and their community.
