Wire Working Workshop 2-week exploration in making a pendant or other wearable art.Week 1: understanding how to use pliers and wire snippers, discussion of the different wire gauges. There will be available gauge 10, 20, 18, 24. There are also different colors available. There will be a demonstration with a jig to assist in bending into more exact shapes, and the other option which is a hand built wire frame. This frame is used to act as a base to attach other wire shapes to secure beads.
Week 2: The wire frame will be the focus and once all of the additional wire pieces are attached, the beginning of the wire weave wrapping will occur. There will be a demonstration, and the understanding of the smaller wire gauges will be used. The item will then be covered in additional security for any external frame pieces. There will be a large selection of beads available if that is the plan of the project. There will be a demonstration for this aspect of the piece, and then the beads will be secured in place.
$90 for 2 weeks of class. ALL MATERIALS INCLUDED
