About this Event
Resident maker Gemma Scully will guide you through the process of forming, shaping and texturing wire. Using copper and enamelled coloured wire, you will also be shown how to use different jewellery pliers to create a sparkling Christmas decoration that's yours to take home with you on the day.
Your ticket includes:
- 2-hour creative workshop
- All tools, equipment, and materials
- Expert guidance in this metal work process
- A handcrafted Christmas ornament made by you!
This workshop will take place in Space2, located on the ground floor of Manchester Craft and Design Centre.
About the maker
Gemma Scully is a resident maker at Manchester Craft and Design Centre and is the creative director of Gemma Scully Jewellery based in studio 6. Gemma achieved a BA (hons) in Jewellery and Metalwork, followed by a residency at the Bishopsland Educational Trust which specialises in the craft of silversmithing. Gemma is also the Head Instructor with the Manchester School of Jewellery.
