About this Event
This is a classic book crafts project with a crafty twist! Learn how to make a wraparound journal with art paper made with recycled coffee cups and characterful natural leather remnants from the upholstery industry. Long stitch is a traditional binding which is excellent for securing sections of paper within a flexible cover.
Personalise your new journal with a ribbon and charm bookmark and choose to either carve a "writing wand" that weaves between slots in the leather to secure the cover, or create a classic leather lace closure.
Colourful Faux-Leather fabric alternative is available.
Your experienced tutor, Tamsin Loveday, is a practicing artist with a special interest in paper print and book arts. Tamsin advocates for the wellbeing benefits of creative activity for everyone and her mission is to help people reconnect with their inner creative spark.
