Give your child a full day of holiday art in Raleigh while school is out. Wednesday, December 23, 8:15am to 3:45pm.
In the morning, kids build their own clay gingerbread house. They shape the walls and roof from clay, then add a door, windows and decorative details. They finish by glazing it in warm gingerbread brown, with white glaze for icing and bright colors for candy. Clay needs time to dry and be fired in our kiln, so your child’s house will not go home on camp day. It will be ready for pickup about two weeks after camp, and we will let you know when it is ready.
After lunch, kids paint a Candy Cane Lane scene in acrylics. They paint giant striped candy canes, swirly peppermints and gumdrops along a snowy path under a bright winter sky. It’s a good project for practicing bold color, stripes and pattern. The painting goes home the same day.
Your child leaves camp with a finished painting, and their glazed clay house follows about two weeks later. They also gain new clay and painting skills and spend a full day with a small group of kids who like making things. No experience needed.

Please pack a lunch and a snack. Kids eat at the studio with our teacher, and a cold lunch works best. Let us know about any food allergies.
We provide all art supplies. Kids should wear clothes that can get messy.
Painting goes home the same day. Clay is picked up about two weeks after camp.
$100 for the full day.
