Professor Anne Whittaker delivers the annual RCN Winifred Raphael Memorial Lecture in London.
About this Event

In this Winifred Raphael Memorial public lecture, Professor Anne Whittaker will explore the concept of health justice, why it is important, and how it can inform the ethics of care and research practice.

Professor Whittaker will draw on her own experience as a nurse researcher, practitioner and leader in the field of mental health and addictions to consider how to advance health justice and/or reduce health injustice. Opportunities and challenges for adopting and implementing health justice as a guiding principle in health and social care environments will be considered, alongside a ‘call to action’ for nurses to take a lead role in future health justice initiatives in clinical practice, health service delivery, education, and research.

Lastly, Professor Whittaker will highlight how much of Winifred Raphael’s work was driven by a health justice agenda.

This event is in person and open to all.
