The Grapefather's cellar is the stone room underneath it. This fall, come down for a seated, guided tasting of six of Nello Olivo's best wines with an individual cheese and charcuterie plate, in the oldest and most talked-about room in town.
Nello Olivo, 86, makes Italian-style wines in El Dorado County, and everyone up the hill calls him The Grapefather. The tasting is informal and interactive: we talk about what is in the glass, how these grapes ended up in the Sierra foothills, and how to find wines you will love at home. Nello or one of our knowledgeable team pours.
