Welcome to Wine on the Wear!
Sweeney Miller Law are excited to hold the next Wine on the Wear business networking event on Friday 6th November at 2.30pm - 4.30pm at The Flower Cafe in Keel Square, Sunderland.
Our charity partner for this event is Love, Amelia - a charity, providing new and excellent quality preloved items and equipment to children from birth to 16 years old who are experiencing poverty and hardship throughout the North East. Their vision is for no child to be without the essential items and equipment they need to be safe, happy and to thrive.
Help Love, Amelia tackle hygiene poverty across the region
Toiletries are often the first thing a struggling family goes without. When budgets are stretched, essentials like shampoo, toothpaste and deodorant are left off the shopping list. Love, Amelia, create bespoke toiletry packs for babies, children and the adults who care for them because everyone deserves to feel clean, cared for and dignified.
Last year alone they provided:
- 2,434 toiletry packs
- 1,239 packs of nappies
We would be extremely grateful if attendees could bring along an item or two from Love, Amelia's wishlist below:
- Nappies & wipes
- Children’s wash & shampoo
- Shampoo & conditioner
- Toothbrushes - all ages
- Toothpaste - all ages
- Sanitary items
- Sponges & cotton balls
- Body wash, soap, shower gel
- Baby bath & shampoo
- Deodorant
- Maternity & breast pads
- Children’s underwear
We are also collecting new toys and gift sets that Love, Amelia could distribute at Christmas.
The event is informal so please feel free to drop in anytime!
