About this Event
🍷 A Taste of Sonoma: Wine, Nature & Japanese American Heritage - Private Winery Experience & Cultural Gathering at Paradise Ridge Winery🍷
Join us for a special day in Sonoma, where beautiful vineyards, great wine, and a fascinating connection to Japanese American history come together.
- The Japanese Chamber of Commerce of Northern California (JCCNC), in collaboration with the Sonoma County Japanese American Citizens League (SCJACL), invites members, families, and friends to a private gathering at Paradise Ridge Winery.
- Sonoma County is one of California's most celebrated wine regions, and Paradise Ridge Winery has a unique historical connection to Kanae Nagasawa, a Japanese pioneer who contributed to the development of the region's wine industry.
- During this event, guests will enjoy wine tasting, light refreshments, and Sonoma's beautiful scenery while learning about Nagasawa's remarkable life and Japanese American history through traditional Kamishibai storytelling presented by members of SCJACL.
- We will also visit a Japanese Garden currently under development and learn about the local community's efforts to preserve and celebrate Japanese cultural heritage.
- Whether you enjoy wine, are interested in local history, or simply want to spend a relaxing afternoon with family and friends, we hope you'll join us.
- Come enjoy the beauty of Sonoma, discover its connections to Japan, and share a memorable day with our communities!
