About this Event
Join the Coddiwomplers for a festive workshop this Christmas and discover the traditional craft of willow weaving.
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll create your own 4ft-5ft Christmas tree that doubles up as a plant support. Using the rope-weave technique, you'll weave a beautiful willow spiral up an obelisk, then—with any time remaining— you can make decorative willow stars to add your own festive touch.
Your finished tree can be used indoors or outdoors to decorate your home at Christmas. Then, when the decorations come down, it can move into the garden and become a wonderful support for climbing plants through the summer.
This workshop is ideal for beginners, so no prior experience is needed. However, a reasonable level of hand strength and manual dexterity will be required.
All tools and materials are provided, along with tea, coffee, mince pies … and Mr F’s legendary jokes and inspirational team talks.
