About this Event
This is a free event that takes place at the Houston Whiskey Social on November 14th and is open to the first 30 attendees who reserve. You MUST have a Whiskey Social ticket already. Please eat something and drink plenty of water beforehand.
Join William Price Distilling for an interactive barrel-pick experience featuring their flagship 9-year-old MGP rye aged in Texas. You’ll evaluate each barrel for aroma, flavor, and finish, choose early favorites, then start adding water and experimenting with proof to see how dramatically the whiskey can change—and whether the barrel you loved at cask strength is still the winner once proofed down. By the end of the class, the group will help select both the barrel and the proof for a future William Price release. Participants will also receive a special coupon code to purchase the selected bottle from the distillery once it is released.
