About this Event
Creativity doesn't wait for that perfect moment. It fashions its own perfect moments out of ordinary ones - Bruce Garrabrandt
We all carry stories within us shaped by our experience and memories. Join us in returning to the simple art of storytelling, as we make space to connect with each other and our own creative voice.
Creative practitioner Rhona Anderson will lead this 10-week course at William Patrick Library. Drawing on personal experience, we will begin by considering the nature of creativity and potential sources of inspiration. Writers will progress to work through the literary 'toolkit' - character development, plot, sensory details, setting etc. Storytelling will be encouraged throughout. The final week will conclude with participants sharing their attempts at 'fast fiction' with a copy of The Oxford Literary Dictionary for the voted winner!
Come and release your story!
Booking for the start date of Monday 12th October will assign you a space in the whole course.
