William Butt, a much-admired exponent of the solo cello repertoire and a firm favourite with Festival audiences, returns this season to perform the complete Suites for Solo Cello of JS Bach, regarded by many as the pinnacle of the repertoire for the instrument.

This brilliant artist has performed and broadcast numerous works for solo cello by living composers, as well as the suites of Bach and Britten of which he has also made critically-acclaimed recordings.

A rare and wonderful opportunity to hear William Butt present his own majestic survey of these complex, subtle compositions over three concerts in three truly stunning spaces; Chapel Royal at Dublin Castle, Killruddery and Casino Marino.
