About this Event
Join us for a pop-up photography exhibition and speaking tour that explores wildfire, biodiversity, and community strength across two different parts of the world: Nigeria and the American West.
This exhibit tells a story that brings to life our shared challenges with wildfires and the creative ways local communities protect their homes and native wildlife. You will get to view striking photo stories by photographers Aaron Colussi and Etinosa Yvonne, highlighting both the real impacts of fire and the hopeful actions being taken on the ground.
Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with visual stories from around the world and hear from multi-award winning conservationist and researcher, Dr. Iroro Tanshi. She will give a talk on community-led solutions, fire resilience, and wildlife conservation, followed by a live question-and-answer session.
We set up this tour to help bridge the gap between science, powerful storytelling, and the public. As wildfires continue to affect ecosystems globally, we hope this space gives everyone a chance to learn from one another, connect across different fields, and explore how healthy landscapes tie directly into community well-being.
