Tiny Gatherings presents the inaugural event in The Modern Explorer Series, a new programme celebrating exploration, adventure, conservation, storytelling and the enduring human connection with the natural world. Wild Voices brings together the spirit of modern exploration through stories, images and ideas from those who venture beyond the ordinary. Future events will feature explorers, adventurers, authors, photographers, filmmakers, conservationists, naturalists and expedition leaders whose work inspires curiosity, resilience and a deeper understanding of our planet.
The inaugural event features explorer, writer, artist and founder of Tiny Gatherings. Nicole Herridge. Drawing on her journey across the three islands of Malta, Nicole explores walking as a form of modern exploration an opportunity to reconnect with landscape, heritage, history and self. Through powerful imagery, personal stories and visual excerpts from her ongoing creative work, she reflects on resilience, transformation and the importance of moving through the world at a human pace. Blending adventure, storytelling and a deep sense of place, this inaugural talk invites audiences to consider how walking can become a path to discovery, connection and renewal.
Part visual presentation, part exploration narrative and part invitation to future adventures, Wild Voices marks the beginning of a new gathering place for those inspired by wild places, meaningful journeys and the stories that connect us to the wider world.
