The Wild Turkey Run - in support of the Boys and Girls Club – Thanksgiving Day. Race starts at 8:00 a.m. There will be rolling roadblocks as the participants move through the course.
Route: Race starts at Washington Square West at the Roger Conant statue and proceeds on Hawthorne Blvd., taking a left on Derby Street at Congress Street. Participants run all the way down Fort Ave. to Winter Island Road to Winter Island, running around the inside of Winter Island and out, taking a right on Columbus Square. Right onto Columbus Ave., then a right to Bay View Ave. and around Juniper Point. Runners take a right onto Beach Ave., then a left on Columbus Ave. Right on Bay View toward Willows, right at the Arcade and run through the gate at Hobbs Popcorn. Runners proceed along the water inside the park and exit near the Clam Shack onto Restaurant Row. Runners proceed to Memorial Drive all the way to Essex Street, crossing Hawthorne Blvd and ending at the NPS Visitor Center on the Pedestrian Mall.
