Join us for a walk through the woods at Southwest County Park and learn all about wild edibles. We'll discuss identification, safety, uses, and more. Wild edibles will enhance your time outside and are highly nutritious.Jennifer McKeown of Forage & Frolic will be our guide. She earned a Bachelorβs of Science in Biology from Seattle Pacific University and a certificate in Wetland Science and Management from the University of Washington. For ten years she worked at a local conservation non profit coordinating native habitat restoration projects and running a native plant nursery. She now runs a photography business and offers classes on foraged food, plant medicine and wildcrafting. She loves being in the woods and will go on wild goose chases if it means finding edible mushrooms.
