About this Event
Did you know that Wiki Commons holds over 147 million images, that are freely available for everyone to use? Have you ever wondered how to add images to a Wikipedia article? Join us for an interactive session to learn how to upload images onto Wikimedia Commons and make them more discoverable and available for reuse, including on Wikipedia.
This event is open to those new to Wiki editing, or those who have previous experience. Bring any images from your research or own collections that you would like to put on Commons, or we can point you in the direction of openly licensed images for upload!
This event is being run in partnership with Wikimedia UK, Cambridge University Press and the Library at the University of Leeds who will be . We will be collaborating during the day!
Location: Milstein Room, Cambridge University Library, West Road, Cambridge
Time: 10-3pm
Drop in between 10-3pm to learn and participate. Trainers will be available to help introduce you to Wiki Commons.
Tea and coffee provided - facilities onsite/nearby for lunch.
