WICKSON-NICKLESS DISTINGUISHED LECTURESHIP IN BUSINESSTopic: "What Matters Next When Technology Outruns Sense-Making: AI, Human Meaning, and Better Decisions in a World Moving Too Fast"
Guest speaker: Kate O'Neill, Founder and CEO of KO Insights
Tuesday, Oct. 13 | 6:30 p.m.
Rhea Miller Recital Hall, SVSU's Curtiss Hall
As AI, data and digital systems become more powerful, they are also becoming harder for people, businesses and communities to make sense of. From the future of work to privacy, trust, digital infrastructure and the changing role of business, many of today’s biggest technology questions are really questions about scale, meaning, and human agency.
Tech humanist Kate O’Neill explores what it takes to make better decisions in a world moving faster than our old frameworks can handle. Drawing from her work on human-centered technology, future-readiness and What Matters Next, she will offer practical ways to think about AI and digital transformation not as abstract forces, but as choices we make — choices that shape work, leadership, communities and the human future.
