Wick Bambix
is the founder of Dutch punk band Bambix. The powertrio played all over the world including touring Brasil 5 times thus creating a loyal fanbase. Bambix plays songs in which melody thrives. They released 7 albums, one of which came out on Amy Ray’s Daemon Records.
After a hiatus of 5 years it turned out that blood really is thicker than water and fingerpicking has become Wick’s favorite pastime. That is why she decided to record an acoustic album in which the punk attitude leads the country tunes and the punkpop hops along. Sung with a raspy, expressive voice and lyrics about how the world should be but never is.
When playing live, without a wall of sound, Wick goes back to the essentials. Starting out bare bones, always ending with fists in the air. Kicking ass just the same! Songs of her new album, mixed with the best Bambix songs, the best cover ever and a definitely no wallpaper.
