ACES WE MADE IT to a whopping 10 YEAR REUNION!!! Wassup y'all, and welcome to the OFFICIAL East High Class of 2016 10-year reunion event (page)! Now I know I am more than late to the reunion discussion, yet that doesn't mean we can't still come together and make a magical night of memories for the books.Rather than follow tradition and reserve some stuffy dance hall, I thought it would be way more fun to reunite with each other with an activity that played a key role in many a young Wichitan's upbringing--Skate Night!! I have been in discussion with Carousel Skate Center, and they have been gracious enough to allow us a night with the whole center to ourselves, amenities included. At this point the plan would be to have this event sometime in November on the weekend of a football game (11/7--Last Home Game), that way those of us who would like to attend an Aces game have that opportunity, and those of us live out of town (hopefully) can include the reunion in whatever trips home already planned for the holidays. I am still open to suggestions regarding pinning down an actual date though, so feel free to publicly discuss and/or privately message (community-focused) considerations. HOWEVER: suggestions will not be taken after 10/26.
NOW AS FOR THE FINANCING---
Our alma mater has lovingly informed me that we are on our own when it comes to funding our class-specific reunions. So, WE WILL HAVE TO PAY TO ATTEND THIS EVENT. Total cost for 100 folks to have 2 hours at Carousel with everything included is ~$1,200 for 100 guests, which breaks down to $12/person GIVEN we reach our goal of 100 attendees. We can host up to 200 people at this event at the discounted rate of +$5/person over 100, which averaged all out would come to ~$8.50 per person given we hit our cap of 200 attendees. If the full 200 of us would like to extend our reservation by an hour, it will cost an extra ~$1.25/person. The final ticket price will be determined according to the number of folks planning to attend by Nov. 1st.
~~More information on the handling of ticket purchases will be available soon~~
If you made it this far, thank you so much for your time and attention, and for considering how we each individually can make sure this night actually happens. At the end of the day, this is only possible because of you all. So thank you again, please send this to as many of your '16 friends as you can to make sure word gets out, and I can't wait to get down with some of y'all in the rink!
