About this Event
Edith Donnelly is an Advanced Nurse Practitioner with the Heart Failure Team in the Southern Health and Social Care Trust. She has over 30 years of experience as a registered nurse, primarily within cardiology and heart failure care.
She is the current Chair of the Northern Ireland Heart Failure Nurse Forum and Deputy Chair of the British Society for Heart Failure (BSH) Nurse Forum. Edith is also a previous recipient of the Royal College of Nursing Northern Ireland Nurse of the Year Award in recognition of her contribution to nursing and patient care.
Edith is a strong advocate for the impact of nursing on patient outcomes, service development and healthcare transformation. She has a particular interest in specialist and advanced practice in heart failure care, leadership, education and workforce development, and is committed to supporting and inspiring the next generation of nurses. Through her clinical and professional leadership roles, she works to advance heart failure nursing practice and improve care for people living with heart failure across Northern Ireland and the UK.
