Presented by Andres Ramirez from the AI Safety Awareness Project (AISAP) Is AI ‘inevitable’? During this event, we’ll watch a video of Tristan Harris, co-founder of Center for Humane Technology, who explores AI’s profound implications, and makes the case for responsible development and greater societal awareness to avoid mistakes we’ve made in the past.
After the screening, we’ll have a facilitated discussion so you can weigh in with your own thoughts, concerns, and hopes.
Whether you’re an expert or simply trying to understand what living in a world driven by AI looks like, this is an excellent opportunity to discuss an important technology and its effects on your community.
Conversation on how AI Might Affect Jobs
Artificial Intelligence is reshaping how we work and connect with each other - but what does that actually mean for our every day lives, and what future are we heading towards? Join us as we discuss how AI is affecting a specific part of our lives: our jobs and employment.
In a world where AI companies are working to automate work - where does that leave the rest of us?
Come join your neighbors for a discussion, and think through what a good AI future looks like for our community.
AI Safety Awareness Project (AISAP) is a 501(c)(3) that educates the public on AI medium and long term risk. We strongly believe that if AI will affect the majority of people, then we all deserve a say in how AI affects us. AISAP plugs the education gap and gives the public necessary information so they can build their own visions of what a positive AI future looks like for them.
AISAP has partnered with state libraries (HI, WA, NJ, OR, CA, RI), large public library systems (Chicago, Seattle, Oakland) and dozens of individual branches nationwide to provide public programming + staff trainings. Notably, we've partnered with LibraryLinkNJ, NJLA, and NJSL for webinars and trainings in the past.
