Location: Tom Mays State Park
This event is a night-time hike to explore the nocturnal world of the desert. We will meet at the gate before moving to the hike location. Following a short orientation lecture on what to expect, and safety, we will hike approximately 1-mile total distance while stopping to examine the various plants and animals that inhabit the area. In collaboration with Texas State Parks.
Distance: 1.5 miles
Duration: ~2 hours
Difficulty: Easy
Best for: All ages
IMPORTANT: Bring a good flashlight or blacklight
