The Whitlam Institute is opening the doors to Gough Whitlam’s family home in Cabramatta, a place rarely accessible to the public.
This modest suburban house was more than a residence. As Member for Werriwa, Whitlam welcomed constituents into his living and dining rooms, hearing firsthand the concerns that would shape a generation of reform.
Now preserved by the Whitlam Institute at Western Sydney University, it offers a rare and intimate glimpse into the personal and political life of one of Australia’s most transformative Prime Ministers.
