About this Event
Is the West still a coherent project, or is it quietly coming apart? As American commitments to European security grow less predictable, Europe faces a historic test of strategic maturity. Former German Ambassador to the UK, the US and the UN, Peter Wittig traces the early contours of Europe's response and asks if we face a genuine reordering of the transatlantic relationship.
About the speaker:
Peter Wittig served in the German Diplomatic Corps for 38 years. He studied History, Political Science, and Law in Germany and at Canterbury and Oxford. Since leaving the Foreign Service, he has taught at Georgetown University and now teaches at the European School of Management and Technology in Berlin, while advising companies on geopolitical risk.
