Poetry isn’t just something to read on a page. It’s a way of telling our stories, sharing our hopes and dreams, making sense of life’s challenges, and celebrating the moments that connect us. This festival brings together voices from our own community alongside artists of international renown, creating a space where everyone can discover something that speaks to them.
We’re especially honoured to welcome Lemn Sissay OBE, the internationally acclaimed, world-renowned poet, author and broadcaster. Having grown up in care, Lemn has become one of the UK’s most influential voices for care-experienced people. His work reminds us of the power of words to heal, connect and inspire, and we’re delighted that he’ll be joining us as part of this year’s festival.
As you wander through the festival you’ll discover music, spoken word, live performances, creative workshops and surprise encounters that appear when you least expect them. Drop in for ten minutes or stay for the whole day. Come on your own, with friends, with family, or simply follow your curiosity. There is no right way to experience the festival.
