About this Event
Feeling overwhelmed by the state of the world? Ready to put down the doomscrolling and actually process what you’re living through?
Breathwork is a powerful and ancient practice that uses conscious breathing techniques to support emotional healing, regulate the nervous system, and gently release stored tension in the body.
This guided experience combines circular connected breath with meditation, creating a structured and supportive space where you can safely explore and process what you’re holding.
Anna’s trauma-informed approach creates a safe and supportive space for you to:
- Release tension, anxiety, and anger connected to current events
- Gently process emotions that may feel stuck or overwhelming
- Cultivate self-compassion, even in difficult times
- Reconnect with yourself and a sense of shared humanity
WHAT TO EXPECT:
You will be guided the entire time, with music and verbal support to help you stay grounded and connected to your body.
You will be lying down with an eye cover and engaging in active breathwork for 40 minutes while listening to loud, emotionally evocative music, after which you will be guided through Loving Kindness (Metta) meditation.
This style of meditation has been scientifically shown to:
- Increase positive emotions such as joy, gratitude, and contentment
- Reduce symptoms of anxiety, depression, and emotional distress
- Strengthen feelings of social connection and decrease loneliness
- Enhance empathy, compassion, and emotional resilience
You will also have a chance to journal and reflect in silence, followed by an opportunity to share with other participants. Sharing is completely optional. You are welcome to speak or simply stay in your own quiet process; both are equally valued.
We will conclude with some community time – feel free to keep to yourself while you sip herbal tea, or to share a few words and resources with others.
You can relax into a space of shared values, where you don’t have to explain or justify your emotional response to the world.

- You’re tired of carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders
- You want to feel calm without needing substances or distractions
- You’re ready to actually process instead of just cope
