When The World Ends (and it will)
Eight months ago, Danielle and Rebecca broke up over irreconcilable differences. Six hours ago, the entire population of their small town (and possibly the world) disappeard in a rapture-esque apocalypse. Except for them.
Rebecca can’t let go of her religious baggage. Danielle can’t let go of Rebecca. Neither of them can move forward - until Zori, a fifteen year old girl with nowhere else to turn, appears on their doorstep asking for their help.
Will they be able to face their uncertain future together? Should they?
Exploring themes of faith and religion, queer identity, bodily autonomy, and the destructive power of shame, When The World Ends (and it will) is a queer love story at the end of the world. This limited run workshop production is directed by Emily Arthur and written by artistic director Lily Kerr-Jung.
