When I am a Nebula is an exhibition and artist-book launch that captures the essence of the time of recovery from an invasive medical procedure; open heart surgery.
Bringing to life the most inner moments of internal struggle of a life changing, a life-giving event, that happened when the artist was 26 years old.
The exhibition centres on themes of reckoning with traumatic memories, physical pain, grief, and self-expression as self-soothing.
The book and exhibition hinges on the artist openly sharing her inner world through abstract drawings, written works, and personal artefacts.
